HON S.O.B OBSERVE A TWO- DAYS CONSTITUENCY VISIT

In pursuit of his promise of practical representation to the constituency, Hon. Agunbiade on Thursday and Friday 16th & 17th of June 2016 embark on a two-days representing visit in his constituency (Ikorodu Constituency I) of Lagos State.

His first point of visit on Thursday 16th was to Primero; the operator of the BRT buses which operational base is at Majidun, Ikorodu.

At Primero, Mr Fola Tinubu the General Manager received Hon. Agunbiade and his team. Hon. S.O.B raised complains of the passengers, each of the three times he boarded the blue BRT bus to Lagos: issue of ticketing, employment of Ikorodu youth and other operational issue.



The GM assure the Majority Leader that all issue bothering ticketing are being adequately addressed and with a view of phasing out  Manual Ticketing System will and replacing it with Electronic Card System with all ease and security.



Mr Tinubu informed that over 1500 individuals drawn largely from the host community are in the employment of the company:That some of them are to be sent out for training soon as the company is determine to start assemblage of buses in Nigeria. Mr Tinubu then conducted Hon S.O.B round the six operational sections of the BRT yard.



Hon. Agunbiade in his remark appreciate the transformation that the BRT system has foist on Ikorodu communities particularly the infrastructural upgrade. Mr Tinubu commended Hon, Agunbiade for finding time for the official visit.

The second day 17th June, Hon Agunbiade was on the Ikorodu-Sagamu road, where the Lagos State Public Works Cooperation was effecting the palliative repair on the badly damage proportion of the Federal road.

He inspected the stretch of the road, saw what was being done and made some suggestions to the Officers in charge: Engineer Hussien of the LSPWC. He also granted interview to Lagos Television on the road, commending the Governor of the state Mr, Akinwunmi Ambode for his prompt response to the Resolution of the House of Assembly in respect of the road. Hon Agunbiade also appreciate the speaker and members of the House of Assembly for encouraging his motion calling for palliative repair of the federal road, whereas the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), office is located on the same road.



Hon. Agunbiade also commend the C.E.O of LSPWC and his officers for the promise to asphalt the damage portion when the weather is favourable for such.

The Honourable took time to visit other roads complained of, in his constituency and assured constituents that the Government will act positively but urge them to be patient with the Government.
