Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade move a motion, calling for Palliative repair of Ikorodu-Sagamu road by the state government.


As a result of the bad state of Ikorodu - Sagamu Road, particularly, the most terrible sections, between Oriwu Club House and Lagos State Polytechnic, (LASPOTECH) Ikorodu Campus Hon. S.O.B Agunbiade The Majority Leader (Representing Ikorodu Constituency l) moved a motion under matter of urgent public importance. The motion was well debated with the following prayers:


1. Call on the Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode to alleviate the suffering and stress of the communities along Shagamu road, Ikorodu by directing the Ministry of works and the Lagos State Public Works Corporation, to carry out palliative repair on the damaged portion of the road.


2. Call on the Federal Ministry of works and FERMA (Federal Road Maintenance Agency) to be alive to their responsibilities on federal roads in the state.

3. Call on the President: Muhammad Buhari to arrange for quick refund of monies spent by the state government on Federal Roads in the state.

Hon. Tunde Buraimoh of Kosofe ll, added his voice to the motion like others and also added that the damaged portion of Adekunle Banjo street, Shangisha junction, Magodo be added for the consideration of the state Government. The motion was then amended to accommodate Adekunle Banjo street, Shangisha junction, Magodo and the prayers unanimously adopted by other members of the House as the resolution of the House of Assembly.

The Rt. Hon. Speaker Mudashiru Obasa then directed the clerk to do a clean Copy of the resolution to the Governor and the Commissioner for Works.

very hopefully, the resolution will transform to the palliative repairs of the roads mentioned in the motion.
