This is the 6th Edition of the computer training programme which I design to run for youth in my Constituency, comprising: Ikorodu North LCDA, Ikorodu West LCDA and Ikorodu Local Government Council.
My target for this 6th Edition are those young ones, who just wrote their Senior Secondary Certificate Exams, but are yet to be absorbed into any Higher institution of Learning. My aim is to engage them for another three months to prevent their hands form being devil's workshop and to provide them with alternative route to earn a living.

Ayahgbure of ikorodu presenting Admision letter and bag of Hand-out to the beneficiary |
We have made provisions for their hand-out, so there is no exploitation of parents for hand-outs.
The bags are programme bangs and contain hand-out on Desktop Publishing:
Introduction to Computer;
Microsoft Word;
Power Points;
The beneficiaries will be provided with identity cards for access to the training centres. This is for security reasons and to prevent infiltration by persons who are not part of the programme.
Parent/Guardian are hereby advised to warn their children to be of good behaviour, obedient and law abiding as any form of indiscipline or unruly behaviour may lead to expulsion from the program. This program is not for fun, it is for serious business.
Hon. Kasumu Ikeja ll, Addressing the students |
At the completion of the training, students will write joint examinations and the best three students will go home with computer sets while there will be consolation prices for seven other students from fourth to tenth position. This is the annual practice of the program.
The programme being flagged off today will run for three months and we shall invite you again to celebrate the accomplishments and the student that will emerge best in the programme. Permit me to say a big thank you to my lieutenants in this struggle of practical representation and positive impact on the society. These lieutenants are the member of Onward Movement of Nigeria who are my foot soldiers that packaged this program.
